May 16, 2007 River Forest, Ill. - One week after closing out one of its most successful competitive years, Dominican University's Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to announce that 48 of its 154 student-athletes were named Scholar-Athletes by the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC). Each of the Scholar-Athletes maintained a minimum 3.25 grade point average in the classroom while competing on one of the university's 11 varsity rosters. The 2006-2007 Dominican University NAC Scholar-Athletes are: Michael Albert (baseball), Tiffany Albert (cross country), Jamie Baird (basketball), Jeanine Bentley (cross country), Andrea Billadeau (cross country), Melanie Bonifacio (basketball), Justine Christian (basketball), Erika Corona (tennis), Karen Depke (soccer), Maksymilian Derylo (tennis), Mike Eifel (baseball), Christopher Elkin (basketball), Seth Fallik (soccer), Melissa Fleming (basketball) and Rosa Flores (tennis). Also named were Elizabeth Fulton (soccer), Paul Gawlas (cross country), Chantel Guglielmi (tennis), George Hickey (baseball), Mark Higgins (baseball), Patrick Hughes (soccer), Daniel Humphreys (soccer), Matthew Jakobsze (soccer), Jane Killmar (basketball), Matthew Kochanowski (soccer), Robert Koors (cross country), Edvardas Kuprys (basketball) and Jacqueline Lani (soccer). The NAC Scholar-Athletes also included Lea Marzolo (softball), Merak Metz (baseball), Megan Moore (volleyball), Anka Niemczewska (volleyball), Molly Nolan (tennis), Elvin Perez (soccer), Yoshio Piediscalzi (baseball), Keith Ponce (cross country), Stephanie Rossi (softball), Anna Rudel (soccer), Joseph Saraceno (tennis), Eileen Shanahan (tennis), Matthew Stahl (basketball), Ryan Tlusty (baseball), Nicolas Toro (soccer), Megan Vaccaro (cross country), and Lynne Wojcik (softball). |
