Bozana Durman picked up three wins in singles play last week.

River Forest, Ill. - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) announced the conference's Student-Athlete of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, September 23 and Dominican University's Piotr Sliwa (Chicago, IL) and Bozana Durman (Cicero, IL) won the award for men's soccer and women's tennis respectively.

Sliwa, a 6'1" junior goalkeeper, posted a pair of shutouts on the week to help the Stars to an unblemished 2-0-0 mark on the week. On Wednesday nigh, Sliwa logged five saves in a game against North Park University, then ranked 12th in the region by D3Kicks.com. Sliwa then recorded seven saves in the Stars' 5-0 win over Lakeland College on Saturday.

The pair of shutouts lowered Sliwa's goals against average to 0.59 on the season and now has four shutouts. In fact, Sliwa has not allowed a goal in the last 458 minutes he has been in goal, a streak spanning the Stars' last six contests.

Durman, a 5'9" senior, improved her record in singles play to 6-2 on the season as the Stars' number three singles competitor with three victories last week. In doubles play, Durman teams with fellow senior Eileen Shanahan (New Lenox) as the Stars' number one doubles team to post a 2-1 record in doubles play last week. On the year, the Stars' duo has a 5-3 record as a doubles team.
