River Forest, Ill. - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) announced on Monday that Dominican University's Matt Sarantopoulos has been named the NAC Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the Week ending on Sunday, April 11.

Sarantopoulos helped the Stars to three victories last week posting a perfect 3-0 record at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles, with partner Marco Colapietro. In NAC play, Sarantopoulos and Colapietro topped Marian's Anklam and Lawson 8-0 on Saturday morning and then won a thrilling 9-7 match over Lakeland's Maier and Shiono as part of 5-4 win for the Stars. In singles play, Sarantopoulos swept MU's Sam Cripe in straight sets and then topped LC's Shiono 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.

Sarantopoulos and the Stars return to action on Wednesday, hosting the Concordia University Chicago Cougars for a 3:00 p.m. match in Oak Park.
