The Dominican University men's tennis team dropped a pair on non-conference dual matches on Sunday to fall to 2-7 on the season.
In the morning match, it was Ripon College that upended the Stars, 7-2.
Greg Tabaka (Chicago, Ill.) and
Mohit Shekhar (Burbank, Ill.) claimed the Stars only points at numbers two and five singles respectively. Tabaka is now 5-7 in singles play after topping Ripon's Connor Greenwald, 6-2, 6-1, while Shekar movers to 4-7 with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Tyler Hopewell.
In the afternoon match it was Lawrence University that blanked the Stars, 9-0. Lawrence won every flight in straight sets with
Kevin Amarantos (Arlington Heights, Ill.) giving the Vikings their toughest point as he fell 6-2, 7-5 to Cooper Smith at number one singles.
The Stars will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel down Division Street to take on the Concordia Chicago Cougars in a Northern Athletics Conference dual match.
