Stars Continue To Shine In The Classroom

The Dominican University Department of Athletics announced on Thursday that the University's student-athletes posted a cumulative 3.19 grade point average for the Spring semester, marking the department's highest cumulative grade point average in history.  The Stars have now posted a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher in 14 consecutive semesters dating back to December 2006.

Over 90 of the student-athletes across the University's 12 NCAA Division III rosters achieved a B average or higher with seven student-athletes maintaining straight A's for the Spring 2013 semester.

"Our academic success continues to be a priority to each of our rosters year-in and year-out," commented Erick Baumann, director of athletics and head men's soccer coach at Dominican University.  "Our student-athletes embody the Division III spirit and have found a way to balance academic success while still competing in the sport they love at a high level.  I'm truly proud of their collective achievements."
