Andrew Elevated Into Head Women’s Volleyball Role

The Dominican University department of athletics has announced the promotion of Cameron Andrew to the full-time position of coordinator of athletics events and head women's volleyball coach after serving as a part-time assistant coach for the 2017 season.

Andrew helped the Stars to a remarkable turnaround, going just 12-21 in 2016 before finishing with a 17-13 overall mark this past season despite a roster that carried just two seniors and three juniors to go along with 13 freshmen and sophomores.  Dominican's 2017 campaign included a season-opening victory over Hendrix College who was ranked 20th in the AVCA Top 25 at the time.

"I am extremely honored and excited to be taking over as coordinator of events and head women's volleyball coach," commented Andrew. "I want to thank Erick Baumann for this wonderful opportunity."

"This past season was a great step forward for Dominican volleyball and I'm looking forward to building off what we started.  We have a great core returning and I'm excited about our continued development as a program…I'm ready to hit the ground running"

Andrew came to Dominican after a four-year stint at Rhodes College where the Juniata College graduate helped head coach Kait Harris build the Lynx to their most successful season since 2007 when they finished 12-12 in 2016.  During his time at Rhodes, Andrew helped develop 15 All-Southern Athletic Association athletes.

At Dominican, Andrew fills the role vacated by Brittany Sisk who resigned from the position, effective January 4. Andrew's first day will be January 5, 2018.
