River Forest, IL - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) released the 2009 NAC Baseball All-Conference Team on Thursday evening with Dominican University Anthony Davey (Wellington, OH) landing a spot on the All-NAC Honorable Mention Team.

Davey, a six-foot left-hander, was the Stars' leader in wins with a 5-2 record in nine appearances on the mound. Despite missing nearly a month of the season due to illness, Davey posted a 3.33 earned run average, surrendering just 18 earned runs in over 48 innings of work. The Stars' junior ace, ranked among the top ten pitchers in the conference in ERA and opponent batting average, holding opposing hitters to a .250 average.

In NAC play, Davey logged three complete-games, including a 1-0 win over Edgewood College in the final week of the season. In that game, Davey scattered just four hits and one walk over nine innings while striking out seven. Just five days later, Davey took the hill again and threw his second nine-inning complete-game. However, this time Davey was on the short end of a 1-0 contest, falling for just the second time all season.

Along with Davey, freshman Rob Fioravanti (Evergreen Park, IL) was named to the NAC All-Freshman Team, honoring the conference's top ten true freshmen. Fioravanti posted a .324 batting average in 102 at-bats as he started 27 games for the Stars, including making 16 starts in the Stars' outfield. The 6'3" Fioravanti logged 15 doubles on the season and walked 12 times. In the field, Fioravanti logged a .960 fielding percentage with 22 putouts and two outfield assists while committing just one error.

The Stars finished the season 18-20 overall, going 11-11 in conference play and finishing the season in a tie for seventh place in the NAC.
