River Forest, IL - Leading by six at the end of the first half, the Dominican University men's basketball team used a 17-0 run to open a 23-point lead early in the second half as the Stars topped the Maranatha Baptist Bible College Crusaders 77-59 Saturday evening.

Senior Dan Borys (Crown Point, IN) scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting from the field to pace the Stars. The 6'4" forward also snared a game-high 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double effort of the season. Borys closed out the season as the Stars' leading scorer, averaging 16.9 points per contest while shooting nearly 49 percent (156-319) from the field and over 71 percent (106-149) from the free throw line.

Marvin Jeter (Lynwood, IL) added 13 points with eight assists while Kyle Tipton (Milwaukee, WI) and Darrius Nelson (Michigan City, IN) scored 12 points and 11 points respectively for Dominican in the winning effort.

The win improved the Stars' overall record to 10-15 on the season, marking the fourth straight season of ten or more wins for the Stars for the first time since the early 1990s.
