River Forest, IL - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) released the 2009 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Men's Basketball All-Conference Awards on Tuesday with Dominican University's Dan Borys (Crown Point, IN) landing on the All-NAC Second Team. The Stars' 6'4" senior forward posted 16.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in conference play as the Stars posted a 5-11 record and finished sixth in the South Division of the conference.

Borys scored in double-figures in all but two of Dominican's 25 games this season, including pouring in a career-high 29 points in a 72-61 win over Lake Forest College in the Stars' sixth game of the season. Entering the season, Borys had averaged just 6.0 points per game, scoring just 474 points in 79 games his first three seasons. Borys then poured in 422 points in 25 games this season, the highest single-season point total in the Dominican men's basketball program since the Stars joined the NCAA Division III ranks for the 2000-2001 season.

In 16 conference games, Borys scored at least 15 points 11 times and shot nearly fifty percent (98-197) from the field. Within the NAC, Borys ranked in the top 15 in five statistical categories, including ranking 11th in the conference in scoring, 14th in rebounding and 12th in blocked shots.
