As a freshman at Dominican University in 2006, Nicolas Toro was a Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) All-Rookie Team selection and a NAC Scholar-Athlete. He tallied eight goals and logged three assists in 19 games for a total of 19 points. Toro logged his first career collegiate hat-trick on October 18 against Benedictine University. At Parkway West High School, Toro received First Team All-Conference honors from the Suburban South Conference as a junior and senior.
