River Forest, Ill. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) unveiled the Final Post Season Ranking Poll for Division III with the Dominican University Stars claiming the 18th spot in the final men's rankings for the 2007 season.

The Stars, ranked sixth in the 2007 NSCAA Preseason Rankings, fell out of the national polls for six weeks following an 0-2-0 road trip in Minnesota to open the season. After rattling off 12 wins in 13 contests, including victories over University of Chicago, North Park University and Wheaton College, the Stars again cracked the top 25 on October 16 as with a 12-2-1 record. The Stars climbed all the way up to 14 the following week but slipped back to 24 after a loss on the road at UW-Whitewater.

After earning the team's sixth-straight at large bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships and posting a victory over UW-Whitewater in the first round the Stars then concluded their season with a 1-0 overtime loss at the hands of Washington University (Mo.) who would advance all the way to the Elite Eight.

On the year, the Stars finished the season with an overall record of 17-4-1, going 9-0-1 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC), claiming the NAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships for the second consecutive season.
