River Forest, IL - The Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) named Dominican University's Joe Saraceno (Westchester, IL) the conference's Student-Athlete of the Week in men's tennis after the junior posted a perfect 4-0 mark last week and led the Stars to their first win of the season.

The Stars' posted an impressive 8-1 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College but fell in a tight match to Marian University 5-4. As the Stars' No. 5 singles, Saraceno posted a 6-3, 6-1 win over Marian's Lee and then a 6-0, 6-1 win over WLC's Workman. Teaming with Matt Sarantopoulos (Mt. Prospect, IL) at No. 3 doubles, Saraceno helped post an 8-1 win over Marian's Lee and Streicher and an 8-4 win over WLC's Workman and Jossart.

Saraceno is now 2-0 in both singles and doubles play in the NAC while Dominican is 1-1 in the conference and 1-4 overall. The Stars will return to the courts on Wednesday, April 8 as they travel to neighborhood rival Concordia University Chicago. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. start time.
