April 14, 2009 River Forest, IL - The MSOE at Dominican University softball doubleheader and the Rockford at Dominican men's tennis match scheduled for today have been postponed due to poor playing conditions. The softball doubleheader has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 15, at Dominican's softball field in Forest Park with the first pitch slated to be thrown at 4:30 p.m. The Stars are currently 18-8 overall and in the midst of the most successful campaign in the history of the program dating back to 1998. In the previous 11 seasons, Dominican has reached double-digit win totals three times and has never posted a winning record, which the Stars can ensure with just three more wins. The men's tennis match has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at Dominican's Tennis Courts in Oak Park. The match is set for a 3:30 p.m. start time. This is just the second match of the season postponed due to the weather for the men's tennis team with the Stars posting a 2-6 mark in the team's first eight dual matches. The Stars are currently 2-2 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) and have just five regular season dual matches remaining before the NAC Championships on Sunday, May 3, and Monday, May 4. |
