Robert Koors shaved 17 seconds off his time from the Forester Invitational.

River Forest, Ill. - Dominican University's Robert Koors (St. Louis, MO), a 5'8" sophomore, ran a personal-best 29:45 at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational hosted by Loyola University Chicago on Saturday. Koors finished the race in 87th place to pace the Stars, averaging a six-minute mile during the 8k race.

As a team, the Stars men's cross country program finished in 25th place with Koors leading the way, shaving 17 seconds off his time at the Forester Invitational last week. Dan Humphreys (Geneva, IL), Joe Piatkiewicz (LaGrange, IL), Patrick Hughes (Burbank, IL) and Paul Gawlas (Forest Park, IL) rounded out the Stars' top-five finishers.

Dominican will run again on Friday, October 5 at Benedictine University's Eagle Invitational. Races are set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Eagles' course in Lisle, IL.
