Mequon, Wis. - The Dominican University men's cross country squad finished tenth at the 2009 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Cross Country Championships. Dominican's Ernesto Ramirez (Chicago, Ill.), a 2008 NAC All-Conference honoree, slipped out of all-conference placement, placing 30th in the eight-kilometer race with a time of 29:17. Robert Koors (St. Louis, Mo.) and Jimmy Koester placed 51st and 57th respectively while Alex Rivera (Chicago, Ill.) and Paul Gawlas (Forest Park, Ill.) rounded out Dominican's top five finishers in 81st and 86th place out of the field of 99 runners. Gawlas was the lone Stars' runner to post a personal season-best time, covering the course in 32:49, a career-record for the four-year letterwinner. |
