River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball teams, coming off one of the program's top shooting performances in recent history, shot just 22.6 percent (12-of-53) as the Stars fell to the Concordia University Chicago Cougars 62-46 on Tuesday night.

The Stars trailed by 20-points at the half, 32-12, after shooting under 15 percent from the field, connecting on just four of the team's 27 field goal attempts. Senior guard Angel Betts (Pontiac, Ill.) was the only bright spot for the Dominican offense, scoring a team-high 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field, including shooting at a 5-for-9 clip from three-point distance.

Dominican will return to action on Thursday, hosting the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Dominican's Igini Sports Forum.
