River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team held their only lead of the night at 3-0 on a Lisa Julkowski (Chicago, Ill.) three to open the game before falling to the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors 81-57 on Thursday night.

The Stars began to cut into the Warriors 19-point lead as Stacy Reynolds (LaGrange Park, Ill.) connected on a three to spark a 16-7 run that pulled Dominican to within 52-42 with just over ten minutes remaining. However, the Stars could not get any closer with WLC closing out the game on a 13-4 run of their own.

Angel Betts (Pontiac, Ill.) and sophomore guard Sarah Budz (Orland Park, Ill.) paced the Stars' offense. Betts scored a team-high 11 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field while Budz chipped in 10 points in the losing effort.

The Warriors' offense featured four players in double-figures scoring, paced by Alyssa Allister's 17 points. The freshman guard was 6-of-12 from the field on the night, including connecting on five of nine attempts from three-point distance.

The loss drops the Stars to 7-7 on the season and 3-5 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC). Dominican will return to action on Saturday, hosting the Rockford College Regents for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff in the Igini Sports Forum.
