Aurora, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team slipped to 3-7 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) and 7-9 overall with a 70-69 loss on the road to the Aurora University Spartans. The Stars had two shots to tie the game in the final eight seconds after Sarah Budz's (Orland Park, Ill.) jumper rimmed out with five seconds remaining, Danielle Miller (Centralia, Ill.) got steal but could not connect for a game-winner.

Senior guard Lisa Julkowski (Chicago, Ill.) led all scorers on the night with 22 points in the losing effort for the Stars. Julkowski was 7-of-13 from the field, including 5-of-10 from three point distance, and added four steals in 32 minutes.

Budz and senior Angel Betts (Pontiac, Ill.) added 13 points apiece in the losing effort.

The Stars will travel to Madison, Wis., on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. tilt with the Edgewood College Eagles.
