Lisle, Ill. - The Dominican University women's basketball team fell to 7-11 on the season and 3-9 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) as the Stars were beat by the Benedictine University Eagles 69-57 on Thursday evening. The Stars offense managed to connect on just 18 of the team's 70 field goal attempts, shooting a meager 25 percent from the field.

The Stars never led in the contest, but managed to pull within three, 50-47, on an Angel Betts (Pontiac, Ill.) three with under six minutes to play. However, the Eagles immediately embarked on a 5-0 run to extend the lead back to eight, 55-47, with five minutes remaining and never looked back.

Sophomore Sarah Budz (Orland Park, Ill.) and senior Lisa Julkowski (Chicago, Ill.) shared game-high honors, scoring 18 points apiece for the Stars. Budz also added a game-high 18 rebounds, ten on the offensive end, in the losing effort.

Dominican will sit idle this weekend before traveling to Milwaukee, Wis., to take on the MSOE Raiders on Wednesday, February 3. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in MSOE's Kern Center.
