Milwaukee, Wis. - After opening the season with seven wins in their first 12 games, the Dominican University women's basketball team dropped their seventh straight on Wednesday night, falling to the MSOE Raiders 53-47, to slip to 7-12 overall and 3-10 in the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC).

The Stars built up a six-point lead, 21-15, on an Angel Betts basket with 6:06 remaining in the first half. However, Dominican went scoreless over the next 11 minutes of action as the Raiders turned a deficit into a seven-point advantage, 28-21, en route to the victory in NAC women's basketball action.

Dominican's Sarah Budz (Orland Park, Ill.) scored ten points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the losing effort for her second consecutive double-double performance. Budz rounded out her stat line with six assists, four steals and a block in 39 minutes of work.

The Stars will return to action on Saturday, traveling to Sheboygan, Wis., to take on the Lakeland College Muskies and look to get back in the win column for the first time since January 9. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
