Jacqui Lani shattered the Dominican University single-season goals against average, posting a 0.71 goals against average as a freshman in 2006. Lani was a Northern Athletics Conference Scholar-Athlete, All-Rookie Team member and All-Conference honorable mention team member. In early October, D3Kicks.com named Lani to its Team of the Week as she logged her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season in a pair of victories for the Stars. On the year, Lani recorded 12 victories and 10 shutouts, both single-season records at Dominican University.

At Preble High School in Green Bay, Wis., Lani was a member of the National Honor Society as she competed with the girls' soccer team. In 2006, the Fox River Valley Conference named Lani to the 1st Team All-Conference. She was named the team's MVP in 2006 and the team's Defensive Player of the Year in 2005.
