Dulce Melo scored two goals and logged two assists as she appeared in 17 games as a freshman in 2006. On September 9, Melo netted the game-winning goal in a 4-0 win over MSOE. At Lane Tech High School in Chicago, Melo was named to the All-City Team as a senior in 2006 as she helped the team to a city championship and was named to the team's "Best Defender."
