Stars defeat Rockford College but fall to Edgewood

	Senior Bozana Durman teamed with Eileen Shanahan for a pair of victories as the Stars' #1 Doubles Team

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's tennis team opened the 2007 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) season on Saturday, hosting Rockford College at 10:00 a.m. and Edgewood College at 2:00 p.m. The Stars split on the day, sweeping Rockford 9-0 and falling to Edgewood College 8-1.

The Stars' #1 doubles team of seniors Eileen Shanahan (New Lenox, IL) and Bozana Durman (Berwyn, IL) knocked off their opponents in both matches, 8-3 against Rockford and 8-3 against Edgewood.

The Stars now stand at 1-2 on the season and will host Concordia University Chicago at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11.
