River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University volleyball team wrapped a stretch of six matches in nine days with a 3-1 (13-30, 30-24, 30-27, 30-22) victory over Trinity Christian College on Saturday.

Freshman standout Darcy Kammeier (Kirkwood, MO) paced the Stars' offensive attack with 16 kills on 46 attempts, posting a .239 attack percentage. Kammeier averaged over 24 kills per match last week and over 4.5 kills per game.

Freshmen Michael Ann Kelly (Dwight, IL) and Kasey Kiepura (Vernon Hills, IL) each logged ten kills in the winning effort for the Stars while sophomore Anka Niemczewska (Vernon Hills, IL) posted 38 assists.

Defensively, Kammeier led the Stars with 18 digs while sophomore Megan Moore (Glendale Heights, IL) recorded 16 digs of her own. Freshman Ashley Gans (Park Forest, IL) had four blocks while Niemczewska, Kiepura and Jessica Gallagher (Bourbonnais, IL) each had three total blocks.

Dominican now stands with an overall record of 5-16 and will travel to Milwaukee, Wis. to take on the MSOE Raiders on Wednesday. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start at MSOE's Kern Center.
