Darcy Kammeier tallied 13 kills and logged 8 digs in the Stars loss to Concordia Chicago

River Forest, Ill. - The Dominican University women's volleyball team fell to 2-8 on the season and 0-2 in Northern Athletics Conference action with a 3-0 (30-25, 30-15, 30-17) loss at neighborhood rival Concordia University Chicago on Thursday night.

Freshman Darcy Kammeier (Kirkwood, MO) continued her strong freshman campaign for Dominican, posting a match-high 13 kills in the three-game match. On the season, Kammeier is averaging 3.38 kills per game and 3.59 digs per game in 34 games this season. Fellow freshman Michael Ann Kelly led the Stars defensively with nine digs in the match and is currently averaging a team-best 4.47 digs per game with 152 digs on the season.

The Stars do not return to the courts until Friday, September 21 when they travel to Clarke College for the 2007 Clarke College Tournament. The Stars will open tournament play on Friday against University of Dubuque at 6:00 p.m. and then play host Clarke College at 8:00 p.m. On September 22, the Stars will play Calumet College at 10:00 a.m. and then close tournament play against Loras College at 12:00 p.m.
