Results

River Forest, Ill. - Sophomores Jeanine Bentley (Downers Grove, IL) and Megan Vaccaro (Oswego, IL) continued their sensational seasons, pacing the Stars to a sixth place finish at the Aurora University 2007 Spartan Classic on Friday afternoon.

Bentley was the Stars top finisher for the third consecutive race, pacing the team with a ninth place finish at the meet, finishing the 6k race in a time of 24:33.04. Vaccaro came in just 20 seconds later, finishing in 15th place with a time of 24:53.84.

Eileen Eck (Oak Lawn, IL), Elise O'Connor (Omaha, NE) and Michelle Calvert (Arlington Heights, IL) rounded out the women's field for the Stars finishing in 56th place, 70th and 88th place respectively.

In the men's field, the Stars finished in sixth place. Robert Koors (St. Louis, MO) turned in the Stars' top performance in the men's 8k race. Koors finished in 33rd place, running a 6:11.1 mile completing the course in 30:44.74. The Stars had seven runners finish the race on the men's side including Dan Humphreys (Geneva, IL), Edwin Rodriguez (Chicago, IL) and Joe Piatkiewicz (LaGrange, IL) all who finished in the top 50.
