Mequon, Wis. - The Dominican University women's cross country squad placed fifth out of ten teams at the 2009 Northern Athletics Conference Cross Country Championships. Seniors Megan Vaccaro (Oswego, Ill.) and Jeanine Bentley (Downers Grove, Ill.) paced the Stars, finishing eighth and 14th respectively, and earned all-conference honors for their finishes.

Vaccaro, the 2008 NAC Individual Champion who has been battling injury all season, covered the six-kilometer course in a time of 24:43, more than two minutes off her personal-best time of 22:38.10. Bentley, another runner battling injury throughout the season, turned in a time of 25:15, nearly a minute off her season-best time of 24:16.03 she ran at UW-Oshkosh's Brooks Invitational.

Jasmine Hall (Rensselaer, Ind.), the Stars top rookie runner this season, earned All-NAC Honorable Mention honors with a 15th place finish, finishing in a time of 25:29.

Erika Espinosa (Wheeling, Ill.) and Gabby Sherer (Bloomingdale, Ill.) rounded out the Stars top-five finishers, placing 36th and 41st respectively.
